Paris-Based Label Cote&Ciel Opens First Ever US Location

The 855 sq ft space, will open for six weeks only until January 23rd 2015, and will be located at 355A Bowery Street, New York.

Already well-established in key taste-making stores throughout Europe and Asia, Cote&Ciel's bags balance sophisticated fabrication, technical know-how and ergonomic design. Designs work in tandem with the human body, creating forms inspired by tradition, technology and the interplay between the natural and manmade worlds.

Cote&Ciel creates modern storage solutions designed to facilitate your journey: bags and laptop sleeves for men and women often with added special protection for a range of media devices. Each style places an emphasis on fabric research that focuses on tactility and experimental design.

The new pop up shop will unveil a first retail concept for the brand. Developed in conjunction with the renowned French retail design company Franklin Azzi Architecture, the store's interior will reflect Cote&Ciel's idiosyncratic design ethos through a diverse mixture of building materials (wood, felt, leather, glass) that convey the brand's eclectic design handwriting. A specially designed shopfit will also include bespoke ergonomic display furniture designed to showcase each bag to its full potential.

A large part of the Cote&Ciel range will be on offer at the launch including our iconic classics as well as the most recent product launches from the new collection such as the: Kalix Tote, Hudson Briefcase, Concrete Herringbone collection and Coated Canvas collection.

"We are very excited for this important first step of Cote&Ciel in the US market," says Founder and CEO Stephan Wembacher. "The New York City pop-up space marks our formal introduction in the US. We look forward to bringing our products and designs to the discerning American folks and hope they like it as we do".
