New York – In the evening of March 26th, the Gagosian Gallery conducted a book signing event with Peter Lindbergh to celebrate the release of Peter's new book: IMAGES OF WOMEN II: 2005 - 2014.
The gallery was in full capacity when I arrived at 7 PM. It was not noted on the invite that there will be a list at the door. But much like all the fashion events attended by celebrity and fashion luminaries, this one is no exception to the rule. It took me a good five minutes to slowly march my way into the main room where Peter was signing and it was even more crowded there than at the entrance.

Peter was in good spirit, gracefully greeting every one who stood in front of him for a chance to get their book signed by the master. The well dressed gallery attendants tried their best to direct the line not letting it turn rowdy.

Actress Uma Thurman made an appearance around 7:45pm to greet Peter and pose for some press pictures then promptly left the room.

The event was suppose to end by 8 pm but the mob never dissipated. In the end, the gallery shut the entrance by 8 pm but Peter graciously stayed until every single book was signed. Throughout almost 3 hours of non-stop book signing, Peter was in good mood and joke around with the crowd who came to see him.
